Playground Builds

Every summer, the SMILE ANGELS graciously suit up in their MDS tees, slap on the sunscreen and travel across the city to build playgrounds for children with special needs or a serious illness, who are often unable to use public playgrounds. All children should have access to their very own playground and experience the positive impact of outdoor play.

 

Every year on a very special day in December, our community members come out to hand deliver teddy bears and gift packages to children and families across the GTA - rain or shine! Thanks to our generous sponsors, fundraisers, and the tireless work of our SMILE ANGELS!

MDS children and their parents are the highlight of our events. Their inspirational stories bring the realities of childhood illness and special needs to the forefront of everything we do. They offer an education on why we need to build awareness, where we should be placing our energies to find funding for cures and supportive programming and how we can stay inspired.

Fundraising

We encourage you to plan a fundraiser of your very own! Sign-up for approval by our executive team. Great ideas to get you started include lemonade stands, bake sale, sports tournaments, a car wash, garage or yard sale, walk-a-thons, golf tournaments, fashion shows, BBQ or pizza parties and casual work or customer appreciation days!
